*Assistant Vice-President & Portfolio Manager of $90 million in assets (equities, fixed income, cash equivalents, and other unique assets) in the
Investment Management Group ($760 million assets) of Broadway National Bank in San Antonio, Texas.

*Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) awarded by the
Association for Investment Management and Research.

*Previous private sector experience as an industrial engineer, corporate financial analyst, and financial advisor.

*Veteran - honorably served as a U.S. Army officer in the positions of tank commander, tank platoon leader, and company executive officer of an
M-1 Abrams Tank unit.

*Graduated from the
United States Military Academy (West Point, NY) with studies in general engineering and an additional concentration in cartography (I like maps).  Competed two years as a rower on the Academy crew team.

*Active in Republican politics and a past president of both the
Young Republicans of Bexar County and the Republican Men's Club of Bexar County.  In November of 2000, I traveled to Miami, Florida to campaign for George W. Bush in the presidential election.  We found out every little bit counts.

*Member of the Board of Trustees for the
World Affairs Council of San Antonio (WAC).  Past chairman of the WAC International Contemporaries (young professionals group).

San Antonio Council for International Visitors.

*Patron, webmaster, and advisor for the
Josephine Theatre.

Junior Achievement and the United Way of San Antonio.
